Suing McDonald's for free meals

The following bit of news (in Hebrew) is quite hilarious: A citizen of Ashdod is suing Mcdonald's for damage to his health (specifically to his liver) caused by his habit of eating two free daily meals for many years while employed by the fast food chain.

The company response, which is rather cool, mentions, among other things, that the gentleman in question was entitled only to one free meal a day.

The response doesn't mention stupidity, of course, it being a legal matter where stupidity is not a valid argument. But...

Too much McDonald's food causes liver damage? What did he wash it down with?

I guess greed was stronger than fear in this case.

The, A.D., your life is simpler - you have a short list of targets. What about me and the Scots with their 300 distilleries?

I am not sure that they are cheapskates. Their limit of 1 meal per day is part of the safety policy, I would say.

Not with Dr. Pepper for sure, it is not marketed here. For good reason too, if you ask me.

Not marketed there? Shocking discovery. Best pop there is. That's Dr without a period, BTW.

Years ago a Hindu or Muslim sued McDonalds because he didn't think that McDonald's had been clear enough that their fries were fried in fat and not strictly in vegetable oils causing the patron to violate his religious teachings.

As part of the settlement McDonald's funded education programs. So it's really funny to see some public service Kashrut announcements have a tag line that this message was funded by McDonald's.
