Getting used to labels - more on Lieberman

Sometimes we are so ensnared by the latest political fads that even the most insightful people use labels unthinkingly. Norm quoting from Head Heeb:

Appointing Lieberman to a senior ministry without requiring him to abjure his racism is...

Appointing Lieberman anywhere but as a public restroom attendant is a mistake, in my opinion. But let's take a look at the dictionary:

Noun: racism

1. The prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races
2. Discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of another race

Besides - Jews and Arabs are of the same race, for crying out loud...
